Five Shifts Digital Experience Teams Should Be Ready For
2026 is shaping up to be a turning point for digital experience teams. As an Adobe Partner agency, we’re seeing Adobe release new capabilities faster than ever, with AI becoming embedded into everyday workflows. AEM is no longer just a place to store content, it’s evolving into an intelligent platform designed to help teams move faster, improve quality, and manage complex digital ecosystems with greater ease.
AEM Becomes AI-Native
AI will move from “feature” to foundation. In 2026, AEM will actively support teams by organizing content, suggesting layouts, rewriting copy for different audiences or languages, flagging accessibility issues, and predicting performance. The platform won’t just manage content; it will help improve it.
Content Creation Gets Smarter and Faster
With AI embedded into workflows, teams will spend less time on repetitive tasks and more time on strategy and creativity. Expect faster page creation, smarter reuse of assets, and more consistent experiences across channels without added manual effort.
AEM Cloud Service Becomes the Default
Cloud Service will no longer be optional. Adobe now releases new features, and critical updates, exclusively to the cloud, on a regular cadence. Organizations staying on older versions will face slower innovation, higher maintenance costs, and limited access to AI-driven tools.
Automatic Updates Change How Teams Work
With frequent, automatic cloud updates, teams will need to be more proactive. The days of loosely managed content and one-off fixes are over, process and structure will directly impact performance and stability.
Strong Content Structure Becomes Non-Negotiable
Clean content models, consistent naming, and clear publishing rules will be essential. Well-structured content allows AEM and its AI tools to function at their best, making updates smoother and reducing friction. Teams that invest here will move faster; those that don’t will feel the impact immediately.
